The opening day of the Biennial of Cinematic Scenarios (BIEC) will feature the screening of an emblematic European film, considered a landmark in modern cinema for its exploration of memory, time, and space.

In keeping with the academic purpose of the activities that precede it, the title of the film will not be revealed in advance. The screening will serve as the foundation for the day’s reflections and discussions, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience the work directly before engaging in critical dialogue.

About the Organizer:

The National School of Cinematographic Arts (ENAC) is UNAM’s dedicated film school and one of the most respected institutions for film education in Latin America. Founded in 1963 as the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC), it has played a central role in shaping Mexican cinema by training generations of filmmakers whose work continues to influence the national and international audiovisual landscape.

ENAC is the only institution in Mexico that offers a comprehensive academic program in Production Design as part of an undergraduate film degree. The program treats production design as a distinct discipline, focusing on cinematic space as a narrative force integrating set design, architecture, atmosphere, world-building, and visual storytelling into the creative process.
