Zondag 19 oktober | Atelierbezoek
Om de praktijk achter het beeld te zien en de ambacht in production design te begrijpen gaan we langs verschillende ateliers in de buurt van Amsterdam, van professionals uit het veld. Op iedere locatie krijgen we een presentatie van een recent project en uitleg van specifieke werkwijzes. Bevestigde locaties zijn Rob’s Prop Shop, een bedrijf dat al sinds 1986 special effects, modelmaking, animatronics en special effects doet voor films en Rolf te Booij, RFX. Rolf is met zijn team en partners gespecialiseerd in het maken van praktische special effects voor film, televisie, theater, etc. Van levensechte bewegende monsters en science fiction wapens tot prothese make-up en bestuurbare installaties.

Belgian Film Designers Collective joining forces with our friends from ACM Filmprofessionals!
The Belgian Film Designers Collective is an association for and by film professionals working in the fields of Production Design, Costume Design and Make-up/Hair across Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders.
Launched in October 2023 by art and costume colleagues in the frame of PDC's International Production Design Week, the collective is born from the idea of building a community, sharing experiences, knowledge and recognising the value of our work within the Belgian film industry and internationally.
We aim to stimulate the connection between our members and to provide a central point of information that supports and celebrates our craft. From established professionals with significant contributions to the emerging talents, our membership reflects the multicultural spirit of our country, a qualitative and creative power force shaping stories for the screen.

ACM Filmprofessionals
Production design is de kunst van het vertalen van het script naar een beeldende realiteit: via special effects, make-up, kostuumontwerp en andere art department disciplines worden de ideeën op papier waargemaakt op beeld. ACM Filmprofessionals is de Nederlandse vereniging voor en door Art, Costume en Make-up/Hair professionals. Meer informatie over wie ze zijn en wat ze doen vind je via acmfilmprofessionals.nl.
ACM Filmprofessionals organiseert op zaterdag 18 en zondag 19 oktober een programma rondom de International Production Design Week. Dit tweedaagse programma is een kans om op laagdrempelige manier deel te nemen aan paneltalks, workshops, ontmoetingen en discussies met (inter)nationale collega’s.
