Panel 1: Technology as a Tool: New Tools in Film and Art

An analysis of the ways in which virtual production and digital design tools are used in film, television, and visual arts.

Panel 2: Case Study: Witte Wieven: From Concept to Realization
Moderator: Joery Verweij. Speakers: Rolf te Booij, Robin van Dam.
From lifelike moving monsters to sci-fi weapons and prosthetics: special effects are an important part of films. Rolf te Booij of RFX and costume designer Robin van Dam discuss how they used SFX for the production of the film Witte Wieven: From Concept to Realization.

Panel 3: Production Design, Research, and Craftsmanship.
Moderator: Dana Linssen. Speakers: Hiske de Goeje.
Research is an important part of production design, but unfortunately, there isn’t always enough time for it. Hiske de Goeje explains how she collaborated with an academic researcher, screenwriter, and calligrapher to conduct research for a recent television film.
