‘O Último Cine Drive-in’ – Commemorative Screening

Commemorative screening of the ten-year anniversary of the filming of the feature film 'O Último Cine Drive-in' (Iberê Carvalho, 2015) at Cine Brasília. The screening will be followed by a discussion on Cinematography – the relationship between Production Design and Photography Direction.

The event will feature the production designer Maíra Carvalho and the director of photography André Carvalheira, who will share insights into their work on the film and the collaboration between the two departments in creating the audiovisual imagery. Creative process, aesthetic concept, color palette, location selection, and the interaction between set design, props, and lighting will be some of the topics discussed.

The debate will be moderated by Mariana Souto, a professor at the University of Brasília and also a production designer. The event is produced by Brada – a collective of production designers in Brazil, in collaboration with the Diálogos do Audiovisual (UnB) extension project and with the support of Cine Brasília.

The event is free and open to students, film professionals, people interested in cinema and production design, general public.
