Oscar Allan has worked on Feature Films since graduating from University of South Wales in Cardiff from ba hons TV and Film Set Design in 2013. His first paid job was during the course on Harry Hill the Movie, and his aspirations were always to work on Features. Since graduating Oscar has been London based and worked at a range of studios Pinewood, Shepperton and Leavesden on many high profile Features, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Wonder Woman, Mary Poppins Returns, Fast and Furious ; Hobbes and Shaw, Artemis Fowl, Andor amongst many others! In this Masterclass Oscar will talk through the role of the Art Department Assistant in detail, the content of the role and highlight the importance of this role in understanding the structure of Feature Film Art Departments. He will also talk through his progress, and his journey over the past ten years to his current role as an Assistant Art Director. Many of our graduates aim to work in Feature Films Art Departments and this will certainly provide inspiration and advice on entering this exciting area.
