The project is an art exhibition that will be streamed on October 17th, 2025 at 3:00 PM on the Luca Musk YouTube Channel. It showcases the pictorial work of Luca Musk (Luca Muscio), dedicated to Maestro Pupi Avati, a legendary director known for his gothic horror masterpieces such as “L’Orto Americano” and “La Casa dalle Finestre che Ridono”.
The exhibition will feature an exclusive interview with Pupi Avati, followed by video interviews by
– Antonio Monda, Associate Professor of Film at NYU
– Biagio Fersini, Production Designer of Avati’s latest work presented at the 81st Venice Film Festival
– Giovanni Gifuni, curator of the exhibition
– Luca Musk, project author, illustrator, and ASC scenographer
The highlight of the exhibition will be evocative video teasers exploring the artist’s creative process and visual deconstruction of key scenes from Avati’s gothic cinema. The artworks are crafted in watercolor and ink, emphasizing the dramatic black-and-white aesthetics of L’Orto Americano. The video has been produced by Studio Luca Musk Art in Rome, a studio specialized in curating cinematic events and exhibitions that aim to promote film culture through visual arts. The studio is accredited by La Biennale di Venezia as a cultural operator and by the Rome Film Fest as a professional studio for retrospective exhibitions on major Italian and international filmmakers.
English subtitles will be available.
