Production Design in Japan: Rashomon Revival Project

The Association of Production Designers in Japan will hold a Q&A session to introduce Japanese colleagues and studios to those around the world.

The session will highlight the project 'Rashomon Revival - Miniature Rashomon Gate' to celebrate the association's 80th anniversary. The documentary about the project, created especially for IPDW, can be seen online. Guest speakers are Atsushi Ando and Yasuyoshi Ototake who have worked on Kurosawa films, and our association's Representative Director, Koichi Takeuchi.

Please submit your questions during registration to discuss in our session. The event will be in Japanese with English interpretation.

About the Organizer:

The Association of Production Designers in Japan, established 80 years ago, aims at improving the public recognition of Production Designers and developing their status as well as improving the quality of Japanese films. It also holds Film Art staff training classes on a regular basis as learning opportunities for people who want to enter the film art field.
