Screening “The Sound of Falling”

After screening the film in the Main Cinema of the “Neues Maxim”, Production Designer Cosima Vellenzer will talk about her work and design process, with the possibility to ask questions from the audience.

Production Designer Marlen von Heydenaber will moderate the talk.

Short synopsis:
The film “The Sound of Falling” (German “In die Sonne schauen”) follows four girls—Alma, Erika, Angelika, and Lenka—from different historical periods whose lives are subtly interconnected. Each spends their youth on the same four-sided farmstead in the Altmark region. As they move through their respective presents, traces of the past gradually emerge.

About the Organizer:

The "Neues Maxim" Cinema is an Arthouse Cinema in the Neuhausen District of Munich. It is the second oldest cinema in all of Munich. Together with some other smaller Arthouse cinemas it is a part of NeoKinos, showing a great selection of small and bigger films from all over the world, often hosting events where filmmakers get invited for a Q&A after a screening.

The VSK (Verband der Szenen- und KostümbildnerInnen) is the German Association for Production and Costume Design, while the vdrsd (Verband der Requisite und Set Decoration) is the German Association of Props and Set Decoration.
Together they support, connect and represent their around 700 members of all the different Art and Costume Department professions.
