The Lead Club: Drawing for Design

October 18
10:00 - 12:00 AEST
AFTRS Library / Building 130 The Entertainment Quarter
Sydney, Australia

Hosted in the light-filled AFTRS Library, The Lead Club offers a focused and relaxed space to explore the art of drawing for screen design. Led by award-winning designer Gypsy Taylor, the workshop introduces techniques in illustration, fabric rendering, and figure study — all with an emphasis on capturing how material, form, and movement shape character and story.

Unlike traditional life drawing, the class invites participants to study silhouette, texture and detail on the clothed body, honing the ability to visualise how design choices translate to the screen.

Open to students, alumni, and industry members, The Lead Club offers a unique opportunity to build skills and connect through the shared language of drawing and design.

Tickets are strictly limited to 25 places. If you are unable to attend but hold a ticket, please let the organisers know so your place can be reissued.
