The event will take place at Cinema House, Sofia’s historical and one of the oldest cinemas. The exhibition will stay during the whole International Production Design Week and will remain open for visitors until December. It will show original watercolours and copies of paintings. Preliminary pencil sketches of some artworks will be showcased, and texts will tell the stories behind some of the titles.

About the Organizer:

Boryana Ilieva is the creator of Floor Plan Croissant, where she paints intimate watercolour surveys of the residential spaces found in her favourite films. Coming from an architecture background, Boryana worked for years as an architect in her native Bulgaria before devoting herself entirely to her artistic investigations of cinematic architecture. Today, she has painted more than 100 film interiors.

Martina Koleva is a Contemporary Art graduate of the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria. Her diverse experience ranges from managing and executing large and complex in-house projects to helping develop and showcase young and emerging artists. Her focus and interest are in the intersection of art and business.
